Where is there money to be made? Well, not in 2020 there's always touring. The rest of us are just getting fucked over at the table. Yes, I am sure you can point to the 0.01% of writers who are making bank at this, but I can tell you the same about blackjack players. That's true in EDM, Techno, rock, rap, etc as well. ![]() Yea, you'll find a few people willing to buy - but this isn't a sustainable model. I think there isn't much money to be made "selling beats". ![]() So at the end of the day, does the money chain make sense? If not, then you're in a bad chain. People are so hungry for success that they'll chase things that don't make sense.įor all the people trying to sell beats, I have to ask "Who is buying beats, and why?" What do they do with them, and how are they making money from them? Very few people are buying music. Thanks, and hope you have a good summer, if you don't reply to this further! I just had a lot to say about this topic in this comment post, so yeah, hope it was at least entertaining, and that's really all I've got to say. Also, sorry in advance for hope damn long this was. That's almost 10 times the versatility, 10 times the quality (because now those 6 previous producers aren't spread so thin), and it gives those "older heads" to have perfected their craft, and make even better packs then they did previously (for example, Nick's packs for the past year or two have been on another level then they were previously).Īnyways, hope this all makes sense, and I'm glad that we at least agree now, even if we didn't previously. However, now, you have not that half of that 48, but all 48 of those producers making their own packs for WavSupply. Simple because back then, the only people who really made packs in IM were half of that 12, so meaning: Nick Mira, Sidepce, ET, JR, KC, and MJ (no one else of that other half had started making their packs yet, so yeah that's all). In 2 years, they have quadrupled their size in both artists, and producers alike, so of course their packs are going to be a decent amount worse previously. Like the reason they are so good and versatile now in 2021-2022 is because back when you wrote that they had maybe what, a dozen producers (Taz, MJ, KC, Pharoah, Sidepce, Nick Mira, Cxdy, Rio, E-Trou, JR, Boyband, and Repko are all I know of at that time) and 2 artist (Juice Wrld, and Lil Tecca) at the time? Now, they have 48 producers and 8 artists. However, at the same time, I would make the argument that considering Internet Money didn't even really have their first big placements until 2017-2018 with Juice Wrld, you can't expect their packs from the following two years only to go dummy, you know what I mean?! But, also, sure their packs that were coming out 2 years ago (in 2019-2020) when you wrote that weren't anything insane. Anyways, sorry I wrote that comment when I was a little annoyed, so it came out a bit harsh. I'm honored that you thought this could be an IM member using a burner account lol, but it's obviously not (or, is it?!). Proper feedback is not "Dope track bro, k do me next."
